Hello, I'm Rachel.
I'm a mother, a wife, a former teacher and – most importantly – a champion for those going through difficult moments in their life journey. As a transitional life coach, my goal is to provoke thought and inspiration in people to make the changes they want in any part of their life. Whether you want to make a difference in your life, are facing challenging times, or you just want a little support, I am here for you.
The Story of Spinneytree and Me
I came into coaching as I was having a difficult time in my career as a teacher. I was at the end of my tether and flailing. I knew I needed change, although I didn't know what that change would be. A close friend of mine suggested I explore the world of life coaching, noting my love of helping people. I took a leap and decided to become a Core Energy Life coach with the Institute for Professional Excellence in Coaching.
I've always loved people. I’m interested in them and who they are. I'm caring and sensitive, supportive and appreciative. I believe we all have talents – many of which we fail to recognise until someone else does! Life coaching helped me grow this passion and make an actual, positive change in people's lives. Thus, I decided to found Spinneytree to continue guiding clients to find their best selves.
As for the name Spinneytree? Well it came from a combination of my house name – The Spinney – and my love of the natural world, specifically trees, which embrace – without judgement but with total acceptance – countless species. Thus Spinneytree Life Coaching.
In my coaching sessions, I offer an open honest conversation that is based on what you want in a safe authentic space. I listen carefully to what you say and ask thought provoking, empowering questions that challenge you to think about your own life and what it is you want. I’ll champion you, support you and hold you accountable for your actions.
